The Role:
To lead the operations team and oversee the smooth running of throughout various areas of the business including logistics, crewing and compliance.
You’ll be responsible for a team of 6+ consisting of administrators, event technicians and drivers whilst aiming to improve time & cost efficiency across the department.
Key duties include:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Leading the operations team managing rotas, holiday requests, disciplinaries and general line manager duties.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Oversee logistics, crewing and transport organisation.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Distribution of projects to relevant parties, delegating and allocating resources as required.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Support warehouse team by ensuring staffing levels are suitable to meet operational needs.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Management of staff expenses claims.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Act as a point of escalation for any issues that arise within the operations department.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Development of new procedures and processes to increase efficiency.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure legal compliance for drivers and staff.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Management of discrepancies with PO and invoicing in relation to project costs.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide out of hours support where required.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Management of health and safety ensuring all staff and documentation are compliant with regulations.
Required skills and attributes:
-         Proven experience within an Operations Manager role – ideally within the events industry.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong leadership qualities.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Highly organised and able to communicate effectively across departments.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Full UK driving License.
