Financial Planning Analyst

Based in Watford, Hertfordshire our award-winning client are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst to join their growing team on a permanent basis, office based in Watford 5 days per week.

This job would be suitable for someone who is part qualified and studying ACCA/ CIMA. This position involves reporting to the Planning and Treasury Manager, focusing on analysing and reporting key management information.

The successful individual should have strong analytical skills whilst being a real team player, with an eye for detail. They will have excellent communication skills and previous knowledge or experience of ESG regulations and reporting disclosures would

be beneficial. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Preparing weekly sales reports and forecasts, developing annual budgets, handling various treasury-related tasks, and collecting and reporting data
  • Project and track daily cash flow requirements, consistently updating cash flow and balance sheet forecasts.
  • Compile and present weekly sales data along with other management insights, ensuring regular updates to period projections and forecasts.
  • Take a leading role in coordinating and managing the period update process, developing annual budgets, and contributing to the revisions of the long term business plan.
  • Create periodic and quarterly P&L budget reports, evaluate variances, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage and validate bank transactions, card charges, interest earnings, and accruals.
  • Support the management and review of foreign currency needs.
  • Assist in collecting and analysing data metrics whilst offering support and recommendations.
