Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join the leadership team at a large, successful secondary school in Watford. Role: Finance Manager
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the school's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure financial compliance with statutory regulations and maintain high standards of financial accuracy and integrity
• Lead the finance team, providing guidance, support, and training to finance assistants
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and governing body
• Manage relationships with external auditors, suppliers, and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification
• Proven experience in finance management, preferably in an educational setting
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
• Proficiency in financial software and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of school finance regulations and procedures (desirable)
