Are you passionate about food and education? Do you have experience working in a school environment, supporting students and teachers alike? We are seeking a Food Technology Cover Supervisor to provide essential classroom support and ensure smooth operations during staff absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Food Technology classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.
- Assist students with practical tasks, offering guidance and support with cooking and food preparation.
- Maintain a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are met in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support student progress and behavior management.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a school environment, ideally as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to build rapport with students of all abilities.
