We are exlusively representing a Primary School in Watford who are looking for a Year 2 Teacher to start as soon as possible.

The person needs to have experience teaching a upper key stage 1 class (this can be student teaching through an Education degree) and shown targets have been achieved or improvement in behaviour, academic work and other factors.

The school has been rated a Ofsted 'Good' and has fantastic outdoor facilities for the children as well as several learning resources. They focus on a good work life balance to ensure the staff are reaching their full potential with teaching.

The main responsibilites of this role is:

  • Follow the curriculum with planning of lessons and delivering
  • Mark classwork, homework and feedback this to the pupils, relevant colleagues and parents (parent's evening is required)
  • Have a strong classroom management plan to ensure good behaviour levels
  • Support the children with their progression and create necessary plans to track this

Requirements to initially apply:

  • QTS - Qualified Teacher Status
  • A minimum of 6-12 months teaching or placement teaching in a Primary School (UKS1 is preferred)
  • Strong ability to use various teaching methods
  • SEN experience or knowledge
  • DBS (on the update service)
