TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary SENCO for a temp-to-perm role at a school in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator to lead and manage SEN provision, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the school's SEN provision and ensure compliance with the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), working closely with teachers and support staff.
  • Oversee assessments and interventions for children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring progress is monitored effectively.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for SEN students.
  • Provide training and support to staff to enhance the school's inclusive practices.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including SEN reviews and parents' evenings.
Requirements:
  • Must be a qualified and experienced SENCO with a strong understanding of SEN policies and procedures.
  • SENCO Qualification & QTS.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or coordinating role within SEN provision at a primary school.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
