React Native Team Lead (Applications) – c£80,000 – Hybrid (3x week in Watford)Overview:I am currently recruiting for a React Native Team Lead (Applications) with one of my clients who are a global digital marketing and technology agency specialising in online gaming. We are looking for someone who has experience developing and releasing new apps to the market, as well as experience building automation and helping streamline the processes in place, setting the standards within our app estate. Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Release Mobile Applications: Lead the end-to-end development of mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript, ensuring successful deployment.
  • Collaborate on Requirement Gathering and Technical Solutions: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyse business and technical requirements, translating them into development tasks. Design and implement solutions that utilize modern REST APIs, with a focus on security best practices and app performance.
  • Automate and Optimize Mobile App Deployment: Build and maintain automation pipelines to streamline the mobile app development and deployment process. Utilize your experience in mobile app deployment automation to improve CI/CD workflows and ensure efficient, reliable app releases.
  • Establish and Enforce Coding Standards: Set and maintain high standards for the mobile app codebase across the app estate, ensuring consistent use of best practices in TypeScript, React Native, and Swift components Implement security best practices and ensure the app estate remains secure and reliable.
  • Lead, Mentor, and Manage the Development Team: Provide leadership to the app development team, managing workloads and facilitating an agile environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • At least 5 years’ experience as Senior App Engineer and possess a good working knowledge of the following.
  • Strong React Native experience
  • Strong Typescript Experience
  • Experience with mobile app deployment automation
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of app security practices
  • Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode and Android Studio
  • Good working knowledge of native and react native webviews
  • Experience implementing Swift components in React Native projects
  • React Native developer with experience building and publishing iOS apps via the appstore
  • Good experience working with modern API’s (i.e. REST)
