Health and Safety Advisor

Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a large, high profile construction company to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The company have over 50 years of operation and have played a key role in many of the UK's highest profile construction and development projects.
This role will cover sites across the London and South East region, and is part of a much larger, tight knit health and safety team who meet regularly.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:
- Engaging key internal and external stakeholders ensuring the vision for health and safety is communicated and implemented through the supply chain
- Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements
- Assisting the wider team in the development and delivery of the strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally
- Overseeing administrative tasks and collection of data once tasks have been completed and revealing the findings to improve performance
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety position within construction and ideally utilities
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
