Position: Teaching Assistant 
Location: Watford, WD18
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time - ASAP start until July 
Hours: 9am-3.30pm OR 9am - 12.30pm
Salary: £95-£110 full day / £50-£60 half day

We working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Watford, who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and caring school community.

The Role:

  • Working with on a 1:1 basis with a boy in Year 3 between 9am-11.30pm who has ASD & SEMH.
  • Then for the rest of the day supporting in class as well other children with additional needs
  • You will work closely with class teachers to support children with a range of additional needs within a mainstream classroom.
  • You will help to create a supportive and engaging environment, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to thrive.

About You: We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEN and has the following:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children with ASD & SEMH, preferably in a primary school OR SEN setting
  • Understanding of the various special educational needs and strategies for supporting them
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment
