Your new role
They currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Applications Support Specialist to join their IT team. The role's purpose will be to contribute to delivering, supporting, configuring, testing, and maintaining Business Systems that align with IT strategies and business needs.
You will need to showcase previous experience of managing a team or abilities to do so. You will obtain core skills within Azure and M365, but will also have worked with some of the below applications and business systems. You will operate as a strategic lead and will help shape the company's infrastructure landscape.What you'll do:
- Understand the business processes practised in designated areas of the business, and to contribute to the development and re-engineering of these processes.
- Work closely with business users and IT staff to understand and define business requirements, and to produce and agree accurate specifications against these requirements.
- Delivery of reliable, supportable systems which facilitate business processes, and which fit into the overall Applications architecture.
- Delivery of IT projects in accordance with specifications, costs and timescales agreed with customers.
- Proactive handling of all incidents, problems and change requests within the IT strategic support tool according to the IT Service Management Policy.
- Effective contribution to IT projects and service delivery work commensurate with other responsibilities and commitments.
- Assist with reviews of system capabilities with a view to suggesting possible future applications and technological enhancements as per the IT Technology Selection procedure document.
- Willing to engage in a wide range of support and maintenance duties across the full portfolio of Business Systems.
- Share technical and business process knowledge across IT and the business.
- Support, document and facilitate the transferral of system support knowledge to the Service Delivery Workstream in agreement with IT Management
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in supporting, testing and deploying business systems.
- Experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
- Experience in Business Systems such as: Azure Platform, IIS, Windows Server Platform (VM), PAAS (MS SQL Server, IAAS).
- Experience in Applications such as: Concept, ARC-GIS, Key2, Cirus Telephony System, Oracle P6, Condeco, OSHENS, CostOS.
