My client, a large company based in Watford, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 12-month contract with hybrid working options.
The role involves completing network engineering tasks, performing network changes, and participating in the network technology design process.
Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of network hardware and software technologies, as well as familiarity with disciplines such as IP Routing and Switching and Firewall management.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.

Senior Network Engineer - Immediate Start - 12 Month Contract - Watford Office - Hybrid working

My client is a large Watford based company, and they are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team, and assist with their end of life global network replacement project.

Some of your responsibilities in this role will include: * Completes network Engineering and Administration maintenance tasks and analyzes process for improvement* Performs medium to high complexity network changes and implementations* Participates in the network technology design process* Analyzes potential changes and enhancements to network software and hardware to determine impact on existing production* Works as a member of a project team on business projects

In order to be successful in this role, you will be:

* Requires in-depth knowledge of network hardware and software technologies and best practices* Knowledge of a network technology discipline (e.g. IP Routing and Switching, Routing Protocols, SD WAN, Firewall, Packet Analysis, IP Telephony, Infrastructure)* Knowledge of data centres (beneficial) * Knowledge of incident and change management principles and best practices
