We are working with a thriving specialist finance company. They are looking for a BTL Underwriter to join their team at their offices in Watford. This role is fully office based Monday to Friday with no weekends!
Experience needed for the role as a BTL Underwriter:
- Minimum 1 years' Mortgage Underwriter experience
- Experience with BTL underwriting
- CeMAP (desirable, not essential)
Duties as a BTL Underwriter include:
- Underwrite loan applications in line within credit policy
- Ensuring all details are correct and in line with regulations, escalating any fraudulent activity
- Recommends loans to the Underwriting Director and Credit Team where they fall outside of the lending mandate held
- Help coach a team of Underwriters
- Participating in improving systems and processes
- Keeping up to date with any regulation changes
