- Review and assess applications referred by Underwriting Case Managers, providing clear documentation on whether the case should be approved or declined.
- Provide real-time feedback to Underwriting Case Managers on each case and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Underwrite and assess loan documentation, including valuation reports, for complex or high-value cases, requesting additional information from brokers as needed and addressing any concerns.
- Conduct thorough checks on applicants and properties to ensure suitability for the requested loan.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding information from third parties and provide timely updates to introducers, ensuring a seamless process and excellent service.
- Recommend and refer cases to the relevant mandate holders for final approval.
- Coordinate with introducers, valuers, and solicitors, managing cases from inception to offer.
- Update internal systems to maintain accurate management information and reporting.
- Strong understanding of business risk and the underwriting process.

- Previous experience managing a caseload and underwriting mortgage applications, especially in the Buy-to-Let (BTL) market, is beneficial.
- Industry-relevant qualifications (e.g., CeMAP) are desirable but not essential.
