They are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and enhance their operations team, driving efficiency and delivering excellence across all aspects of their supply chain and logistics.This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a tangible impact on a growing business. Working closely with the Directors and collaborating across departments, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of products to customers worldwide while fostering operational excellence and team growth.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate order processing by the team, ensuring efficient allocation of stock and orders through daily WIP reviews and addressing any issues promptly to meet customer expectations.
  • Review supplier manuals to understand procedures and share relevant information with teams, ensuring all relevant processes are followed accurately and punctually.
  • Ensure timely assistance with customer enquiries, including handling new line forms, samples, compliance documentation, and internal data collation.
  • Manage major orders to ensure all expectations are met, including overseeing transport, shipping, and coordination with international warehouses for export orders such as pallets and containers to the US warehouse.
  • Set and monitor SLAs with warehouses, driving improvements in order accuracy and ensuring efficient processing to meet customer delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies for cost-effective and timely delivery of goods while monitoring shipment schedules, tracking shipments, and overseeing customs clearance processes to ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, logistics partners, factories, and internal teams, addressing and resolving any shipment-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement strategies to optimise costs across logistics, shipping, and other operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to improve efficiency and overall effectiveness.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to ensure all behind-the-scenes operations run smoothly.

Qualifications and prior experience:

  • Proven experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain roles, within a product based environment (not just service) – must have international or multi-channel environment.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on addressing operational challenges efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in order processing, logistics coordination, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in relevant software systems such as ERP, WMS, or logistics tracking tools. Advanced Excel skills or familiarity with data analysis tools would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
