On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Electroplating Manager to oversee the plating and jigging department within a prestigious facility known for its high-quality finishes and standards. The successful candidate will manage a team of highly skilled professionals in a well-equipped, safety-focused environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards expected by the company's distinguished clientele in the aerospace and luxury sectors.
Day-to-day of the role:- The Electroplating Manager will wire metal parts onto jigs for immersion in plating tanks and oversee the operation through various plating tank lines to apply finishes.
- They will work closely with Quality Inspectors to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
- The manager will conduct daily production meetings to plan work schedules and set priorities, ensuring that deadlines are met and the output is of the highest quality.
- They will collaborate with the Head of Operations and the Managing Director to facilitate workflow and resolve technical issues.
- The role includes engaging with Laboratory Technicians and suppliers for solution analysis and compliance testing.
- The Electroplating Manager will also be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety and environmental procedures across the factory floor.
- Participation in risk assessments, incident responses, and compliance support activities will be required.
- Proven experience in management within a relevant field, preferably in an environment adhering to aerospace or similar industry standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve excellent results.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in managing safety protocols and compliance with environmental regulations.
