A fast growing client of ours in Watford are looking to recruit a super organised candidate, to join their friendly head office team with all things administration for their buying department.

This role is perfect for someone who is organised, professional and really comfortable speaking to clients / suppliers and dealing with anything they may need. We need someone who is self sufficient, who will think outside the box and be proactive - to make sure the office runs nice and smoothly.

It is essential that this candidate really strong excel skills and knows how to use v-lookups and pivot tables.

You will be responsible for:

• Supplier Management: Assist in identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement standards.

• Purchasing & Negotiation: Support procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and placing purchase orders.

• Cost & Budget Control: Work with internal teams to monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and best practices.

• Process Improvement: Contribute to the optimisation of procurement processes, including automation and efficiency improvements.

• Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to support informed decision-making.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, to meet business needs.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and performance reports.
