1:1 SEND Tutors Required-Immediate Start
Reed Tutors is working closely with Hertfordshire Local Authority to provide specialist tutoring and mentoring for students with complex needs.
We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors to join our team, helping students in Hemel Hempstead, Watford, and St Albans.
Role Overview:
As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering personalised one-to-one tuition, tailored to the individual needs of students as outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will involve developing and implementing creative and engaging lessons, with a focus on overcoming learning challenges and supporting the holistic development of each student.
Key Requirements:
• Experience working with students who have complex needs.
• Ability to tailor learning approaches based on each student’s EHCP.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with families, schools, and other professionals involved in the student’s education.
- Have a DBS Certificate on the Update Service.
- Tuition will be taking place in the student’s home or local venues such as library, so please bear that in mind when you apply.

Availability:
- Referrals are between 15-20 hours so we need a tutor who has this availability.
Pay Rate: £30-35 per hour, depending on experience.
