About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Migration Specialist to support the transition from our current payroll system to a new provider. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payroll system migrations, particularly where API integrations are involved. You will work closely with IT, HR, and Finance teams to ensure a smooth transition, accuracy in payroll processing, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end payroll migration process, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal disruption to payroll operations.

  • Work with IT teams to support the API integration between our HRIS and the new payroll platform.

  • Collaborate with payroll providers to map, test, and validate payroll data and ensure accurate employee payments.

  • Ensure a smooth transition of payment methods, including the shift from faster payments to BACS.

  • Identify and troubleshoot any payroll discrepancies during the migration process.

  • Provide support and training to internal stakeholders on the new payroll system and processes.

  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies throughout the migration.

Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in payroll system migrations, ideally involving API integrations.

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.

  • Familiarity with different payment processing platforms (e.g., Faster Payments, BACS).

  • Experience working with payroll software and HRIS integrations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and work with IT teams on system configurations.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate payroll processing.

  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external providers.

Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of payroll payment platforms such as Modulr and BACS processing.

  • Experience with API-based payroll integrations and working alongside IT teams on system connections.

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and payroll automation tools.
