Primary Cover Teacher for - Early Years Foundation - Key Stage One - Key Stage Two
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £140 - £219 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible
Role of a Primary Cover Teacher:
In this role, you will be stepping into the classroom to cover lessons when permanent teachers are absent. We also support a number of schools across Watford with short term contracts, therefore we have opportunities for contracted work that ranges from 2 weeks to 1 entire term.
Your key responsibilities as a Cover Teacher will include:
- Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons across various subjects.
- Managing the classroom, ensuring that behaviour is in line with school expectations and that students remain focused on learning.
- Adapting your teaching to suit the needs of different age groups, ranging from early years to Key Stage 2 education.
- Establishing positive relationships with students, even in a short space of time, and creating a conducive learning environment.
- Following school guidelines for safeguarding and ensuring the safety of all pupils.
- Providing feedback and handing over information to the regular class teacher.
Essential Qualifications:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is required.
- Experience teaching within the classroom
- Excellent understand of the UK Curriculum
- Excellent communication skills and classroom management abilities.
- Flexibility to work in different schools and adapt to a variety of teaching environments.
