We are recruting forCommunications and Media Officer in theWatford area.

Summary of Role:

The Communications and Media Officer will report to the Communications Manager, ensuring that our internal and external communications reflect key business objectives and messages, as set out in our Business Plan, and Communications Strategy.
This role will require close engagement with our business units, and work with our central Marketing and Communications team to support various campaigns.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

Key duties include:

Create stories that jump off the page - delivering engaging and timely content; both written and visual, that reflects agreed tone of voice and messages, as consistent with our Communications Plans and Brand Strategies
Ability to develop creative ideas and editorial across all forms of communication and editing input for a range of platforms
Ability to write effectively for a range of audiences and communication channels including the web and social media.
Work with the Communications Manager to ensure media campaigns are consistent across all communications channels and appropriate to the target audience
Monitor media coverage of our business, and provide timely support, where required, for crisis communications
Develop communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and colleagues, fostering strong working relationships
Problem-solving skills
Manage documentation and digital platforms to ensure brand information is accurate, consistent and up to date
Utilise social media and website content to enhance corporate messaging in collaboration with the Communications Manager
Assist the Communications Manager with gathering video footage, photos and stories from the projects to feature in the company newsletter
Running internal Teams Lunch & Learns to keep our employees updated on various campaigns
Effectively plan, organise and where appropriate implement functions/events/conferences
Travel to sites to provide communications & media support at key events, such as ground breaking, executive and dignitary visits, as well as ribbon cutting ceremonies where there could also be a local and/or national media presence.
