JobMatcha are recruiting for an experienced Transactional Buyer to join our team in Watford.

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Transactional Buyer/Data Input to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing ICT orders from end to end, ensuring timely and accurate input into the system, and tracking the status of orders to meet delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboard skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on compliance with procurement policies and standards. While an ICT background and knowledge of COINS/SAP are advantageous, they are not essential for this role.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process ICT Orders: Manage the end-to-end process of ICT orders, from receipt to system input, ensuring compliance with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Accurate Data Entry: Perform accurate and efficient data entry into procurement and order management systems to track orders, manage purchase requests, and update the status of each order.
  • Purchase Order Management: Process purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure timely deliveries, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all procurement activities are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, promoting efficiency and accuracy throughout the ordering process.
  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and business requirements.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, finance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders
  • Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Keyboard Skills: Strong and accurate keyboard skills for data input and processing.
  • ICT Knowledge: A background in ICT is advantageous, but not essential.
  • COINS/SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with COINS or SAP systems is an advantage, but not required.
  • Procurement Process Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes and purchase order management.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in all data entry and order tracking tasks.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in procurement or business administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a transactional buying or data input role is an advantage but not required.
