Sterling Williams are actively supporting a leading provider of specialist mortgages and property finance based in Watford in their search for Telephone Business Development Managers. This role is office based 5 days per week and will suit candidates with Financial Services sales experience.

Base salary plus quarterly bonus/commission scheme

As a Telephone Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and developing relationships through proactive telephone contact with a number of intermediaries within your allocated region. The role involves working collaboratively with a field based BDM to hit Buy to Let and Bridging regional targets and is focused on promoting the organisation and its product suite to new and lapsed businesses as well as handling key account management.

You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as building relationships with clients via telephone, promoting Bridging Loans and Buy-to-Let Mortgages to intermediaries via telephone and teams meetings, structuring deals to meet lending criteria and chasing terms and quotes into applications for the underwriting teams.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong sales and business development skills - ideally from within the Financial Services industry.
  • Knowledge of Bridging Loans and Buy-to-Let Mortgages is preferable (although not essential).
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry
