We are seeking an organised Finance Assistant to join the team at a large, well-respected secondary school in Watford. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily finance operations, including processing invoices, handling payments, and updating financial records
- Support budget monitoring and reporting under the direction of the Finance Manager
- Liaise with suppliers and school staff regarding payments and finance-related queries
- Maintain accurate records and help prepare financial reports as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role (education sector experience advantageous)
- Strong numeracy and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software (e.g., Sage or SIMS is a plus)
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
