TimePlan Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a temp-to-perm position at a school in Watford. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative Food Technology lessons in line with the school's scheme of work.
  • Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ensuring they develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of food and nutrition.
  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work.
  • Participate in parents' evenings and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities related to food technology, such as cooking clubs or school events.
  • Attend additional training and development as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply).
  • Previous experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting would be desirable.
  • Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
