Revit Retail Designer

Location: Watford - hybrid working

Rate: £30 - £37 per hour (umbrella)

Contract Length: 12 months rolling

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Revit Retail Designer to join our clients dynamic Store Design teams. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing detailed store layouts for both new store openings and remodel projects. You'll be responsible for creating comprehensive block plans, fixture layouts, and construction drawings, ensuring that all designs align with our established brand standards and space optimisation principles. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Drawing Creation: Develop detailed block plans, fixture layouts, and comprehensive construction drawing packages for new stores, remodels, and ongoing projects, ensuring they meet project deadlines and approval processes.
  • Layout Optimisation: Ensure all fixture layouts adhere to the company's store design principles and branding guidelines, optimising the use of retail space for maximum efficiency.
  • Updates to Existing Designs: Revise and update existing fixture layouts as part of store remodels, ensuring consistency with current design guidelines and branding requirements.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to assess architectural elements and space utilisation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any layout-related issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and construction partners to ensure smooth project execution from design concept to completion.
  • Quality Control: Review all design work for accuracy and alignment with store design standards before final approval and distribution.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Revit is a must (experience with AutoCAD is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of retail space planning and store design principles.
  • Proven experience in producing construction drawings and fixture layouts.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Desirable Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in retail design or related fields.
  • Familiarity with fixture layout creation and construction documentation.
  • Experience visiting project sites to assess space usage and layout efficiency.
