About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial operations across a range of high-impact projects in London, Essex, and Kent. Based out of the Watford office, you will oversee regeneration schemes, junction improvements, and infrastructure upgrades in energy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence regional development and work on dynamic projects with long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
·Drive the commercial start-up of new projects, ensuring adherence to all processes and best practices.
· Manage and develop the regional commercial team, setting a high standard for excellence and accountability.
·Ensure efficient procurement of materials and services, in line with company policies and with robust record-keeping practices.
·Oversee the tendering process, ensuring thorough evaluations and adherence to procurement guidelines.
·Work closely with supply chain partners to foster continuous improvement in cost efficiency, quality, and knowledge sharing.
·Maximise project cash flow by overseeing the preparation of valuations, invoicing, and payments.
·Manage the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.
·Identify and proactively manage project risks and opportunities to safeguard project success.
·Produce accurate, timely Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and forecasts to meet financial targets.
Candidate Requirements
·Qualifications: Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
·Experience: Proven background managing commercial activities across multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, with experience in NEC contracts essential.
·Professional Development: Chartered status or progress toward chartership is highly regarded.
