Disabilities Employment Consultant/Coach

My client has a fantastic vision to create a world where every person with a learning disability or autism who wants to work can work. Their business is pivotal to supporting a realising employment for these candidates. With this in mind they are seeking an experienced Employment Coach/Consultant who has a passion and belief that all people with learning disabilities or autism who want to work can work and has worked with this section of the community or a family member in the past.

What the role will involve

As a Disabilities Employment Consultant/Coach, you will provide the first point of contact for the candidates, working directly with them to understand their skills, and motivations whilst simultaneously working with employer partners to identify opportunities within vacant roles which match the candidates talents. Once the person is matched, the final piece is to support the induction, training and ongoing supervision to ensure successful and sustainable employment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identifying and working directly with employers and match skills and experiences to them
  • Completing a vocational profile assessment for each allocated candidate
  • Identifying reasonable adjustments required and developing a support plan for the candidate
  • Applying for Access to work grant when required
  • Providing Training and support to individual with learning disabilities and autism, business co workers and families to ensure successful implementation into the work environment
  • Record Employment outcomes and contribute to developing and maintaining evidence providing case studies when require

This is a very exciting opportunity for a person who has experience of working with people with learning difficulties or Autism and a passion for working closely with them to identify their skills and motivations and match them with clients who have the job openings to suit these. If you live within North or North West London, Herts or Middx. This role is home based but will require travel to meet client companies and candidates.

A competitive salary is offered to the right person. Working Monday to Friday.
