Berry Recruitment are seeking an experienced and driven National Volunteering Manager to lead and implement a strategic approach to volunteer engagement across a well-established organisation, with their head office based in Watford.
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to meetings and services throughout the UK, including the head office in Watford, with overnight stays as required).Pay rate: £25.07 per hour PAYE (£31.18 per hour umbrella)Contract: Part-time, 4 days per week (9am-4pm), 3-month duration
About the Role:As the National Volunteering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and driving an organisation-wide volunteering strategy, enhancing volunteer engagement, and ensuring best practices in volunteer management. You will work closely with key stakeholders across various departments to create meaningful opportunities and maximise the impact of volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a national volunteering strategy to increase participation and impact.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance volunteer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and best practices in volunteer management.
- Monitor and report on volunteer performance and diversity.
- Support volunteer recognition initiatives and workforce integration.
About You:
- Experience in strategic volunteer management within a national organisation.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of volunteer management policies and legal requirements.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to travel across the UK as required.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required.
