QA Automation Engineer

£50,000 - £60,000

Fully Remote - Once a month in Watford

As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll help build and maintain robust automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. You'll work closely with developers and testers to integrate testing into the development lifecycle, drive quality standards, and prevent defects early.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain UI, API, performance, and accessibility automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

  • Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to ensure test strategies align with project goals and best practices.

  • Analyse test results, identify bugs, and implement regression safeguards.

  • Maintain QA documentation, support onboarding, and champion best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews, innovation sprints, and QA stack improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in building automation frameworks and test suites.

  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and object-oriented programming.

  • Familiar with BDD, testing pyramids, and cross-browser tools like BrowserStack or SauceLabs.

  • Skilled with Postman, JMeter, and API testing.

  • Experienced in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps) and DevOps practices.

  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
