Job Title: Senior Software EngineerLocation: Remote | Rare travel to HertfordshireSalary: £50,000 - £65,000Xpertise Recruitment are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join a market-leading organisation in the ’tech for good’ space to help modernise their core applications. This role focuses on enhancing a customer-facing web application through innovative technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support complex production changes.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to drive technical innovation.
- Improve engineering efficiency and processes.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Desirable Skills:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in in C#, .NET core, Entity Framework, and SQL.
- Excellent experience working in .Net environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Skilled in Git source control and RESTful API design.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of WinForms development.
- Knowledge of software architecture, containerization (Kubernetes), and cross-platform engineering.
- Lead experience or a strong desire to move in that direction.
