I am currently working alongside an 'Outstanding’ all-through SEN school who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work across either primary or secondary supporting students with Complex and Medical Needs.
The position is based in Watford, Hertfordshire and will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent at the end of the academic year. The position is between £85 to £100 daily rate depending on your experience.
About the school:
The school is split across 2 sites for primary and secondary catering for students aged 2 to 19 with a range of needs including Autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, SEMH and medical needs. The school is home to tailored equipment and rooms such as Hydrotherapy pools, physiotherapy and sensory rooms. The school is located 10 minutes away from the closest station and has parking available on-site.
The position:
You will be working across either primary or secondary depending on your experience in mixed classes working with students with Complex and Medical Needs. You will be providing 1:1 support in classes of up to 6 students under the supervision of the Class Teacher and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants. Personal care will be involved in this role.
The ideal candidate:

Have experience working with children or young people

Be willing to carry out personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)

Can work from 08:30 AM to 4:00 PM
