About the Role:

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs in Watford. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with young people who require additional support in their learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide whole class, 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN in the classroom and other settings.
  • Help students engage with their learning and build positive relationships.
  • Assist with managing and de-escalating potentially challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support the social and emotional development of students and encourage positive interactions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with SEN or young people is highly advantageous - whether that is professionally or in personal life.

  • Experience working with young people is essential.

  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
