Reed Tutors is collaborating with the Local Authority in Hertfordshire to provide specialised educational support. We are seeking experienced SEND Teachers for 1:1 tuition with students who have complex needs.

This role offers the flexibility to work in various local settings or directly at the pupil’s home, making a significant impact on individual student’s learning and development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in their homes or at local settings.
  • Develop customised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Utilise adaptive teaching techniques and materials to enhance student learning.
  • Monitor and report on students’ progress and adapt teaching methods to suit their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support the holistic development of the students.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching students with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with complex needs.
  • Ability to create and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and dedication to student development.
  • 15 hours of availability during the week.
