TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a full-time position in a secondary SEN school in Watford. This is a temp-to-perm role, perfect for someone looking to make a long-term impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising and covering classes of secondary-aged SEN students.
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
- Working with a range of special educational needs (SEN) students, including those with complex needs.
- Building strong relationships with students, staff, and other stakeholders to support learning and personal development.
- Responding confidently to occasional extremely challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
- SEN experience in a similar role is essential
- Experience covering classes before is ideal
- Ability to confidently manage and support students with challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
