TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a full-time position in a secondary SEN school in Watford. This is a temp-to-perm role, perfect for someone looking to make a long-term impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and covering classes of secondary-aged SEN students.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Working with a range of special educational needs (SEN) students, including those with complex needs.
  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and other stakeholders to support learning and personal development.
  • Responding confidently to occasional extremely challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
Ideal Candidate:
    • SEN experience in a similar role is essential
    • Experience covering classes before is ideal
    • Ability to confidently manage and support students with challenging behaviour.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
