Sustainability Programme Manager – maternity contractOur client is a leading charitable organisation who support the FMCG sector by providing commercial insight and support to drive action and make a tangible difference.  They have an extensive partner list and far-reaching networks within the food and consumer goods sector and government departmentsWe are looking for a Sustainability Programme Manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave. This person will manage and deliver a range of sustainability programmes within the food and consumer goods industry, working in collaboration with a supportive and impact-driven team.  There are good benefits on offer and hybrid working with 2 office days per week.Responsibilities
  • Ownership of key sustainability programmes, meeting targets and working within budget.
  • Reporting on progress, aware of risks, opportunities and planning for contingency.
  • Develop relevant content for reports, briefing notes and online articles.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback for continuous improvement and potential opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop communication strategy and ensure consistency and accuracy in all written content.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with a wide-ranging network of industry professionals and corporates, government departments, NGO’s and academics.
  • Represent the organisation in various meetings, events and workshops.
Requirements
  • Prior sustainability experience gained from within the UK food and consumer goods sector, knowledge of Scope3 reporting or environmental labelling is preferable.
  • Project Management skills, including strong organisation capabilities and a flexible attitude to changing priorities.
  • Degree level education in Sustainability or similar subject.
  • Confident communicator with the ability engage with a wide range of senior executives and drive programmes.
