£90 - £100 per day

Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement 

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a primary school in the S63 area of Rotherham who are needing a Special Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a student in Year 3 with complex needs. The role will be split between supporting the student in the classroom, and working independently in specialist areas with sensory circuits. Due to the needs of the child, it is important that you are resilient and have knowledge of how to de-escalate when the child goes into crisis. The role is to start ASAP and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

- Previous experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs. This needs to be for at least 3 months in the last 2 years.

- TeamTeach qualification would be beneficial.

- Empathetic, nurturing and calm personality.

- The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.
