Are you a graduate in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related field looking to gain practical experience in schools? Reeson Education is currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build experience working across KS1 and KS2, supporting both mainstream and SEN pupils, and gaining valuable skills ahead of a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy.
The Role:
- Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Salary: 80-100 per day
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract: Full-time, term-time only
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN or those needing additional academic help
- Helping with behaviour management, phonics, numeracy, and classroom routines
- Assisting in tracking progress and tailoring learning materials
- Building positive relationships and encouraging independence in learners
Ideal Background as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- Psychology, Education, Childhood Development, or Sociology graduate
- Passionate about working with children and keen to explore a career in teaching or SEN
- Calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Previous experience in a school or with children (desirable but not essential)
