Position: DT Teacher - Product Design Specialist Required - Waltham Forest

Smart Teachers is seeking a Product Design Teacher to join a promising school based in Leyton for an 8-week supply role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative teacher to inspire students in a well-resourced and supportive school environment.

Smart Teachers is working with a vibrant and inclusive Secondary school  serving a diverse community in Leyton. With a strong commitment to creativity, innovation, and student success, the school provides an engaging curriculum that encourages students to think critically and develop real-world skills. The Design & Technology department is well-equipped, offering students excellent facilities to explore Product Design, Textiles, Graphics, and Resistant Materials.

• Teach Product Design (Design & Technology) to KS3 and KS4 students
• Deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop students' creativity and technical skills
• Work within a supportive DT department with access to modern tools and resources
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure high standards of learning
• Support the school’s inclusive and engaging approach to education

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Product Design or DT at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities
• Passion for design, innovation, and hands-on learning
• Ability to inspire students and create dynamic, interactive lessons
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
