Role Highlights for an SEN Teaching Assistant:

Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Support pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
  • Provide 1:1 assistance and help facilitate small group learning activities.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies developed by the SENCO.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment to help pupils thrive.
  • Help with classroom organisation and pupil engagement, ensuring every child feels supported.
