SEN Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in the borough of Waltham Forest, covering areas such as Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, and Chingford. This role, starting in January 2025, is ideal for recent graduates eager to gain experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Start Date: January 2025.
• Daily Rate: 80-100, dependent on experience.
• Location: Welcoming schools across Waltham Forest, East London.
• Work Schedule: Full-time role providing essential SEN support.

• Support pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
• Provide 1:1 assistance and help facilitate small group learning activities.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies developed by the SENCO.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment to help pupils thrive.
• Help with classroom organisation and pupil engagement, ensuring every child feels supported.

• Recent graduates who are passionate about education and supporting children with SEN.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work closely with teachers and support staff.
• Any previous experience with children or SEN (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is an advantage but not essential.
