The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
- Salary: 80-100 per day, based on experience.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a child with ASD, ensuring they remain engaged, confident, and comfortable in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a child with autism, offering academic and emotional support.
- Use structured routines and sensory-friendly strategies to help the child engage in learning.
- Implement behavioural strategies to encourage participation and confidence.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the child can succeed.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor.
- A patient, understanding, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or communication difficulties.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
