Job SummaryThe Financial Controller is a senior member of the management team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the control and administration of all finance functions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. This role also involves playing a key role in shaping and determining the strategic direction of the business. The Financial Controller will work closely with stakeholders to enhance financial reporting, cost control, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities-
Oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance within the business.

Develop and execute financial strategies to support overall business objectives.

Enhancement of the ERP system, ensuring seamless integration into financial processes.

Provide financial leadership and guidance to senior management and operational teams.

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, providing clear financial insights.

Maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

Support business decision-making with financial analysis and performance monitoring.

Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, process improvements, and risk mitigation.

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.

Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role within a relevant industry.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

Experience with ERP improvement projects.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels, driving business performance.

Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
