Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage several existing accounts, with a turnover of £5m+, being the first point of contact and nurturing relationships
- Regularly attend site visits, meeting with existing and potential customers (expected to make 2 visits per week)
- Handle enquiries from existing and potential customers, gaining an in-depth understanding of their requirements
- Represent the company at meetings, leading presentations on new and existing products
- Act as a project lead, working closely with the technical project team to ensure the customer's vision can be achieved
- Oversee a number of live projects, acting as the liaison between the manufacturing team, technical project team, and customer, ensuring each project meets deadlines and expectations
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's product offering, enabling you to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and offer expert guidance
- Successfully close sales, which involves producing cost estimates, negotiating contracts, and supply agreements
Account Manager Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrates first-class sales and account management skills, with previous experience in an account handling or field sales role
- Technical knowledge, be it through experience or education, needs to be demonstrated on your CV
- Customer-focused and commercially aware, able to foster close working relationships and identify opportunities, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
- Personable, outgoing and unafraid to host meetings and presentations
- Incredibly motivated, able to work as part of a team and use initiative to work independently
- Holds a driving license and can travel UK-wide - the successful candidate must be comfortable occasionally having overnight stays
- Competent user of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
