Purpose of the Workshop Technician Role:
Our client is looking for a Workshop Technician to perform all maintenance, repair, new build or refurbishment work on all makes and models of volumetric mixers as required.
Key Responsibilities for a Workshop Technician:
- Perform service and maintenance work on all makes and models of volumetric concrete mixers.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of volumetric mixers and their relevant systems.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Assist in root cause analysis of failures to help improve the overall quality of the equipment.
- Develop skills and expertise to perform work to the highest quality standards.
Key Requirements for a Workshop Technician:
- Previous experience as a fitter working with heavy equipment preferred while other relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong electrical fault finding.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and welding.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Be able to follow instructions, respond to direction and take responsibility.
