A globally recognised supplier of components for multiple industries is looking to expand their Technical and Quality department by hiring a new Technical Engineer
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Technical and Quality and be responsible for all aspects of the company's quality activities. They will contribute to quality functions, approvals, systems, and continuous improvement efforts.
Technical Engineer's main responsibilities are listed below:
- Conduct technical reviews and liaise with customers regarding concerns.
- Hold regular meetings with individual territory teams regarding APQP documentation.
- Assist the Quality team with PPAP submissions when required.
- Build and maintain relationships with customer engineering contacts.
- Actively participate in the completion and submission of 8D reports to customers.
- Lead external audits from customers, if required.
Desirable skills and experience -
- A multi-disciplined engineering background is preferred.
- Experience with industrial fasteners, pressings, turned parts, plastic injection molding, rubber, castings, or forgings is highly desirable.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Strong customer-facing experience.
