Due to expansion, Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Lab Technician to work with a leading global manufacturer who produce machined components supplying predominantly into the energy industries. As the Lab Technician you will be responsible for performing mechanical/chemical de-carb testing.

The following shifts are available for the Lab Technician:

  • Monday - Thursday nights (07:00am - 16:00pm)

Duties of the Lab Technician:

  • Performing mechanical testing and reporting
  • Performing impact testing and reporting
  • Performing chemical Analysis and reporting
  • Preparation of samples for de-carburetion
  • Analysing de-carburetion samples and reporting
  • Raising testing order for subcontract testing and heat treatment
  • Machining testing samples ready for mechanical and impact testing
  • Understanding customer specification

The successful candidate for the Lab Technicians position will have the following experience:

  • Good understanding of customer specifications/machining skills and testing criteria.
  • Must possess a good understanding of general machining practices.
  • A minimum of 2 years in Laboratory environment.
  • You will have been responsible for the quality of your own work
