Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and motivate their proactive sales team. In this pivotal role, you will drive growth by overseeing a team focused on engaging customers via phone, building data-driven strategies, and providing valuable insights and recommendations to the Sales Director. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in sales management, and proficiency in Power BI and Excel modelling, all aimed at fostering a data-driven approach to maximise sales performance.Key Responsibilities:Sales Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and inspire a proactive sales team focused on phone-based customer interactions, ensuring they consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Drive performance through daily monitoring of KPIs, providing strategic direction and support.
  • Implement and manage training and development programs to enhance team member's sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Cultivate a motivated, high-performance team culture that enhances collaboration and individual accountability.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Use Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and performance metrics, offering actionable insights to the Sales Director and team.
  • Apply Excel modelling skills to analyse sales data, forecast trends, and optimise customer outreach strategies.
  • Prepare and regularly update price lists to ensure they align with market conditions and competition.
  • Support decision-making by developing data-driven models and conducting ad hoc analyses to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Foster a data-informed sales culture, ensuring the team understands key metrics and integrates them into their approach.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Oversee team engagement with both existing and prospective customers to strengthen relationships and uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Ensure the team effectively communicates product knowledge, company value propositions, and tailored solutions to customers.
  • Monitor customer interactions to ensure they meet company standards and provide a high-quality customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Marketing and Procurement, to ensure a seamless customer journey and aligned messaging.

Strategic Sales Planning & Execution

  • Assist the Sales Director in developing and implementing the sales strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  • Guide the proactive sales team to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets using well-defined, data-driven sales strategies.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capture untapped segments, in collaboration with the Sales Director.
  • Use insights from data to optimise sales territories, target the right customers, and prioritise sales activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting

  • Act as the primary support for the Sales Director, providing regular performance updates and strategic insights that guide leadership decisions.
  • Develop and present detailed monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment between the sales team and other departments on key initiatives, market trends, and customer feedback.

Qualifications and Skills:Experience:

  • Proven experience in a sales management role, with a strong focus on leading teams, data analytics, and phone-based customer engagement.

Technical Skills:

  • Power BI experience, with the ability to build and maintain data dashboards and performance reports.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in data modelling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Strong analytical ability to leverage data insights for sales strategy development and team performance improvement.

Sales & Communication Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in managing a proactive sales team focused on phone-based customer interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating, mentoring, and leading a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving processes and outcomes.
