Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm

Are you an NPD Technologist looking for something new? I have an exciting new role with a European Food Group, who are market leaders in their field.

Paying up to £50k depending on experience, this £700 million t/o and growing organisation is looking to recruit an experience NPD Technologist to join its friendly and established team.

This fabulous role would suit someone who is looking for a new challenge, in an excellent working environment including state of the art innovation suite/NPD Kitchen, with working hours that provide the perfect work-life balance, but also progression possibilities for the right candidate.

Key Duties

  • Develop new products and record all required information to generate an accurate costing and maintain critical paths.
  • Follow the companies gated NPD process
  • Work closely with other relevant cross-sectional departments.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be responsible for self-supervision.
  • Maintaining a level of hygiene in NPD kitchen as required for a working kitchen.
  • Collection of ingredients, making samples and panelling samples with the team.
  • Develop new products and record all required information to generate an accurate costing and maintain critical paths.
  • To run internal benchmarking sessions & manage a rolling calendar to ensure all lines are benchmarked at least once every 6 months.
  • Data entry into the company ACCESS system, to maintain Bill of Materials
  • Provide a report to the marketing and commercial team to feed recommendations into existing products
  • Accountable for running & documenting organoleptic shelf-life panel for NPD/lines

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar NPD development role.
  • Degree or equivalent in science/ food science related qualification.
  • An innovative thinking "foodie" with an eye for detail
  • A creative individual with a real passion for food.
  • Good numeracy skills, understanding of %s.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective interpretation and translation of information with good report writing skills.
