An award-winning commercial vehicle maintenance company are looking for a Parts Controller to join their busy office based in Wednesbury. This is an exciting and fast paced role; the successful candidate will be a confident communicator and able to prioritise a busy workload. The role holder will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties associated with the sourcing of parts for the smooth progression of repair events for our client’s and their customers.

Duties include:

• Responding to customer, colleagues and client’s telephone calls in a professional courteous and efficient manner. Quickly assess detail of the requirements.

• Update customers and internal colleagues clearly articulate next steps and actions being taken in an efficient and timely manner.

• Check POD for planning the engineer to re-attend a repair event.

• Check details of all ongoing events, for status of VOR awaiting Parts, update status and confirm accurately and clearly to allow the customer to be updated.

• Check job sheets to verify all parts are booked as ordered and required.

• Make clear notes to job sheets for stores to Pick and pack, right first time.

• Ensure email in-boxes are handled efficiently and effectively, taking appropriate action to address issues raised. Report all incidents to a line manager

• Excellent communication abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

• Good numeracy skills

• Strong organisational skills & attention to detail

• Previous experience as a Parts Controller in the commercial vehicle or Automotive Industry (desirable)
