Nurse Seekers is proud to be recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a private Nursery based near Wednesbury, West Midlands. The successful candidate must provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery

Requirements

  • Cache/NVQ Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Early years or equivalent
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Passion, creativity, joy, flexibility, reliability, commitment and good communication skills
  • Be able to work full-time hours

Key Responsibilities

  • To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children for parents
  • Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff
  • Work with parents of children with special needs to give full integration in the nursery
  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff tea
  • To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings
  • To be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc
  • Operate the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the bedding and nappy changing area and food surface areas
  • Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled
  • Recording accidents in the accident book. Ensure the Manager has initialled the report before the parent receives it
  • To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker
  • Baby Room experience is essential
